BEST TIME TO VISIT LABUAN BAJO

We visited Labuan Bajo in March, during the low season, so the number of tourists was still limited. Additionally, it was still the tail end of the rainy season, so the sun wasn’t too harsh. As a bonus, the hills on the small islands around Labuan Bajo were still green, and we found that Padar Island had beautiful, lush hills rather than dry ones. Since it was still green, we had the chance to meet three beautiful "deer." The water was a stunning turquoise and crystal clear, and we were lucky enough to swim with a group of "Black Manta Rays." It was a beautiful sight. While visiting Komodo Island, we encountered male and female Komodo dragons, including a juvenile one, as well as a large adult Komodo dragon. What an amazing trip! ^_^

3 Days 2 Nights Labuan Bajo Trip Itinerary

Deer on Padar Island, Labuan BajoOn Day 1, we arrived in the morning and visited some tourist spots on the mainland of Labuan Bajo, such as Silvia Hill, Batu Cermin, and enjoyed Flores coffee at a legendary coffee spot in Labuan Bajo.

On Day 2, we took a one-day trip using a fast boat from 7 AM to visit Padar Island, Komodo Island, Taka Makasar, Manta Point, and one more stop at Turtle Point.

On Day 3, we visited famous restaurants on the mainland of Bajo, such as Ayana Komodo, Lebajo, and Local Collection, and we also made time to try the local delicacy of Labuan Bajo, Sei Sapi (smoked beef).

We purposely chose a one-day sea trip and didn’t join a multi-day sailing trip because, in addition to exploring the sea, we also wanted to get to know the city of Labuan Bajo.
